Joining Draper in the last four at Eastbourne will be lucky 23-year-old Toby Samuel.
A day after his first win on the ATP Tour, Samuel, the world number 142 who just 12 months ago was outside the worldโs top 1,000, scored the biggest win of his career, ousting Argentinean Juan Manuel Cerundolo, ranked 45th.
While Cherundolo stunned world number one Jannik Sinner at the French Open last month, Britainโs Samuel made his tour-level debut with a first-round exit at Roland Garros.
But with a 6-3 6-4 win, he is set for the first semi-final of the tour against another player nearly 100 places above him, 48th-seeded Belgian Zizou Bergs, who ended Britainโs Jan Choinskiโs bid 6-3 6-3 on Thursday.
If Samuel beats Bergs, he will become only the second lucky underdog to reach the menโs singles final at Eastbourne and will be on the verge of top 100 in the world.
In the womenโs draw, second seed Madison Keys and third seed Jelena Ostapenko continued their title chase by reaching the semi-finals with a straight sets victory.
Keys, the 2025 Australian Open champion, beat compatriot McCartney Kessler 6-3 6-1, while Latviaโs Ostapenko beat Turkeyโs Zeynep Sonmez 6-3 6-0.
