MLB Commissioner Faces Religious Freedom Backlash Over Bible Verse Ban
Major League Baseball is facing a Justice Department investigation after warning San Francisco Giants players not to display Bible verses during Pride Night. The dispute highlights legal issues under the Civil Rights Act requiring reasonable accommodation for employeesโ religious practices. Fans and community leaders have expressed strong opinions about free speech and religious freedom, calling for consistent application of the policy across all campaigns.
Yesterday I was finally able to break my losing streak with a victory.
I wonโt say there werenโt some tough moments because the game ended 4-3 in extra innings. However, it still gave us victory over our opponents. Every time the game goes into extra innings, you have to be a little nervous, especially with a runner on the second rule. We dodged a bullet there and hopefully we can dodge another one here.

The New York Yankees look like they are the best team in the American League, but they donโt even have the best player. The team is suddenly getting donations from guys like Paul Goldschmidt, who I thought was done with his career as an author.
The team is hitting .241 on the season and they also have one of the best pitchers in the game. They are a legitimate World Series contender. The question is whether all the pieces can fit together throughout the season. Weโve seen several teams fall apart after a good six months. The Yankees can look at their National League counterpart from last year and realize that a good half is no guarantee of anything.
Today they turn to Carlos Rodon, who has been one of the best pitchers in the Yankeesโ rotation. This season, Rodon is 4-2 with a 3.70 ERA and 1.28 WHIP. None of these numbers are eye-popping, but for a teamโs third starter, they are very desirable. He wasnโt as sharp on the road as he was at home, posting a 4.26 ERA on the road. The good news for the Yankees is that they seem to have found him to be consistent โ heโll give you five or six innings and three or fewer runs. The Boston Red Sox hitters donโt have much of a history against him, batting just .227 in 75 at-bats.

If the Red Sox somehow manage to make the postseason, this will be one of those series they will look to as a launching pad for their success. Theyโve already won a four-game set against the Yankees and are now looking to get the win. Boston hasnโt been very good this year and remains 11 games under .500. They only had 12 wins against Fenway in this series, so three wins against a good team should feel like a step in the right direction for them.
Even yesterday they talked on air about exchanging guys. There is no indication yet whether they intend to do so or whether they will prefer a different course of action. At this point, current starter Sonny Gray has to be pretty high on peopleโs wish lists if theyโre going to listen to offers. Gray was very good this year, going 9-1 with a 2.95 ERA and 1.19 WHIP. His performance at Fenway is the main reason Boston has won there. He has a 2.61 ERA and a perfect 4-0 record at home. Weโve bet on him at home a few times this season and he really hasnโt disappointed.

Gray faced the Yankees earlier in the month and went 6.1 innings, allowing three earned runs and two homers. This month has been a little weird for Gray with homers, as he has given up five homers in four starts. The rest of the year, he gave up just four homers in 10 starts. Iโm not sure whatโs causing this or if itโs just regression to the mean.

Anyway, today is the day to support the under once again. With these two pitchers on the mound, we should see teams swing and miss hard. It would be very strange for me to see them have a bunch of hits strung together. I think we should get something like 3-1 or 4-2 in the final. Give me the bottom of this.
