The only winning ticket sold in Quebec delivered a $40 million jackpot in the June 26 Lotto Max drawing, continuing a trend highlighting the provinceโs huge presence in Canadaโs lottery landscape.
Lottery officials confirmed that the jackpot-winning ticket matched all seven numbers โ 05, 06, 16, 30, 33, 43 and 51 โ as well as the bonus number 35. The winning ticket was the only one in Canada to receive the top prize.
The ticket was sold at Quebecalthough officials have not yet named the exact city or retailer.
In addition to the jackpot win, the drawing featured six $100,000 Maxmillions-style prizes, with winning tickets sold in several regions including the Prairies, Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces.
The June 26 draw also featured more than 116,000 winning tickets with varying prize tiers across the country, ranging from small cash payouts to free games.
While complete information about the jackpot winner remains limited, this result adds to Quebecโs long history as one of the most frequent sources of major lottery winnings in Canada. Recent drawings and historical payouts have reinforced this trend. In 2024 alone, the total amount of Loto-Quรฉbec prizes paid out was almost $1.7 billion, creating more than 100 new millionaires in the province. More recently, Quebec has seen several multimillion-dollar wins, including a $50 million Lotto Max jackpot on the St. Paul River and several $1 million winning tickets sold throughout the province.
There were also 42 Maxmillions lotteries in the draw, six of which offered $100,000 prizes. Encoreโs winning number was 7577929, although no ticket matched all seven numbers for the $1 million Encore grand prize.
Lottery officials say the search for additional slots for the winning tickets continues while the identity of the $40 million winner remains unknown.
