This Saturday, June 27, 2026, an accident near Neuilly-Pont-Pierre (Indre-et-Loire) brought the A28 to a complete standstill in the direction of Le Mans – Tours, blocking access to Sarthe for more than an hour.
According to Vinci Autoroutes, it was a serious accident. The helicopter landed directly on the tracks to help one of the wounded.
The A28 motorway opens around 13:00.
The disruption to this section of the motorway caused serious disruption for motorists forced to take the exit to Chateau-du-Loire.
