NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FL. (WSVN) โ A 5-year-old child riding his bicycle was hit and killed Friday evening.
Investigators with the Miami-Dade Sheriffโs Office said the child was riding a bicycle between parked cars at Miami Motocross Park when the driver of a pickup truck struck the victim.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews rushed to the area on North Chrome Avenue.
However, authorities said the child died at the scene.
Miami Motocross released a statement saying they have made the decision to cancel racing this weekend.
The driver of the pickup remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators as the investigation continues.
