Jarell Quansah doesnโt regret his decision to leave Liverpool but admits he โcould end up anywhereโ in the next two years.
Quansah came through the Academy with the Reds and made 58 senior appearances before making a surprise move to Bayer Leverkusen last summer for an initial transfer of ยฃ30 million plus up to ยฃ5 million in add-ons.
The 23-year-old centre-back enjoyed a successful debut season with the Bundesliga side and is currently playing for England at the upcoming World Cup in North America.
As part of the deal with Leverkusen, Liverpool agreed a โฌ60 million (ยฃ51.7 million) buyout clause and took the unusual step of already signing the player if he returned to Anfield.

OPINION
Quansah made 44 appearances for Leverkusen last season, including 11 starts in the Champions League, and is in contention for a starting place for England in the final group match against Panama on Saturday night.
On his decision to leave Liverpool, he said: โI donโt like getting caught up in ifs, buts and maybes.โ The decisions I make, I always take back myself and Iโm not going to dwell on them.
โI knew I needed almost guaranteed game time and Iโm not naive enough to think that would happen automatically at a club like Liverpool.
โSo I went to a top club playing in the Champions League, playing week after week, and played about 44 games. Itโs very, very valuable for my career.โ
โAnd itโs not just about me, itโs not just about the present. Itโs also about the future. Like I said, Iโm definitely progressing and getting better and better.โ
Speaking to BBC Football Daily, Quansa added: โI always think about the present, actually. A large-scale tournament is ahead of us, and at world championships anything can happen in a week.
โYou just donโt know anything about football โ just like I didnโt know exactly when I was going to leave Liverpool and spend time at Bristol (Rovers).
โSo you could be anywhere in the next two years, you could be anywhere in the next 10 years. I just need to think about how I can impact the present and become a better version of myself right now, and thatโs all I can do.โ
