The thriller, rated “outstanding” and “masterpiece”, is available to watch for free on ITV.
Set in Scotland’s justice system, Victim stars John Hannah and Kelly Macdonald and follows a mother charged with revealing the new identity of her son’s killer online.
โHard-working family man Craig Myers is the victim of a brutal attack after being identified online as a notorious child killer,โ the synopsis reads.
โIs he simply a tragic victim of mistaken identity or the dangerous killer he is suspected of being? Opening on the first day of the criminal trial at the High Court in Edinburgh, The Victim follows the trial and also covers the events leading up to the trial.โ
Kelly plays Anna Dean, whose son was murdered 15 years ago, while James Harkness takes on the role of Craig. John appears as Inspector Stephen Grover, who was involved in the investigation, reports the Daily Record.

The programme, filmed in Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Inverclyde region, is currently airing on ITVX, having initially captivated audiences when it debuted in 2019.
