WSE Stuttgart | Jersey numbers for Dennis Seimen and Grisha Premel

Goalkeeper Dennis Seimen and midfielder Grisha Premel chose jersey numbers that remind them of special moments in their careers.

It’s more than “just” a jersey number. It’s also a fond memory for Dennis Seimen. So, the 20-year-old, who was on loan at Paderborn last season 2025/2026, quickly and confidently decided which number he would like to wear again for the Cannstatt club in the future. The goalkeeper chose 41.

“Meuski gave me 41”

He remembers fondly what he associates with that jersey number. “During my first professional training at the VfB, Meushi gave me (VfB equipment manager Michael Meusch, editor’s note) 41st. It was a special moment for me. Last season at Paderborn I also wore number 41,” says Dennis Seimen. He played the full 90 minutes in all 34 games of the second division’s final season, and also played fully in two relegation matches and won promotion to the Bundesliga with the club. The Heilbronn native adds: “So I can also associate this number with great success. And I immediately re-elected him to the VfB.”

Grisha Premel approached the choice of the number on the T-shirt a little more pragmatically. The newcomer from TSG Hoffenheim, born in Cannstatt, chose 21st. What’s behind this? “On the one hand, there weren’t many numbers available,” laughs the 31-year-old, “but on the other hand, I wore the number 21 jersey at Union Berlin, where I made my Bundesliga debut and generally had a good time.” He played 69 times in the Bundesliga for Union and qualified for the international tournament with the Irons. He played six times for Union in the UEFA Conference League. Always with the number 21 on the back. “However, there is no deeper meaning behind this number,” says Grisha Premel.

The home jersey will be worn at the start of training.

Dennis Seimen and Grisha Premel will wear their new jersey for the first time at the start of training on Thursday afternoon, July 16, 2026. The boys from Cannstatt will finish the first session of the 2026/2027 season wearing the new home jersey, which has been announced for a week now. For lovers of white and red, all adult and children’s sizes are available in the online store. A pack of your favorite player is also offered – for example, 41 from Dennis Seimen or 21 from Grisha Premel.
