A fire broke out in a ward at the LUP clinic in Ludwigslust, and the roof structure of the radiology department also caught fire. Buildings have been evacuated and the fire brigade has been conducting extensive operations since the early hours of the morning.
Two patients died in a fire at the Ludwigslust hospital. According to the DPA, at least 34 people were injured. A complete evacuation of the hospital, including outbuildings, is currently underway. According to the fire department, patients are in a safe place on the hospital grounds. No further details were initially reported. The emergency room was temporarily unavailable but has since reopened.
