Les 12 coups de midi: after a viral episode, a village in Alsace sends a sign to Jean-Luc Reichmann

An iconic face of the French audiovisual landscapeand TF1 in particular, Jean-Luc Reichmann joined the ranks of Channel One in the early 2000s. As the first presenter of the cult game Les Zโ€™amours on France 2, the managers of Channel One then entrusted him with the presentation of a new daily game called โ€œAttention to the walk!โ€

For nearly 10 years, Jean-Luc Reichman broadcast the program daily, airing shortly before 1 p.m. news on TF1. However, competition from the show โ€œEverybody Wants to Take Their Placeโ€ on France 2 took precedence over the cult game on Channel One. After his disappearance TF1 managers decided to replace it with another daily game. They decided to trust Jean-Luc Reichman again.

Jean-Luc Reichmann received an entrance plaque as a gift from the municipality of Oberdorf-Spachbach.

The latter has been presenting a program called Les 12 coups de midi on TF1 since 2010. During the broadcast of the program in August 2025 on Channel One, Jean-Luc Reichman welcomed a candidate named Loรฏc Quesnel onto his set. The man then said that he was from Agenau in Alsace. before revealing the names of several villages located near this city.

Struck by the participantโ€™s revelations, Jean-Luc Reichmann questioned the existence of the villages of Merkwiller-Pechelbronn and Oberdorf-Spachbach.
due to their long and difficult to pronounce names. To prove the existence of their municipality, the mayor of Oberdorf-Spachbach and his deputies sent the presenter the entrance sign of the municipality. They also filmed themselves unhooking him before posting the video to Tik Tok.

Some internet users are ridiculing the TF1 host for his performance in the TV series โ€œLeo Matteiโ€.

In parallel with his work on 12 Midi Revolutions, Jean-Luc Reichmann is also headlining a detective series called Leo Mattei, juvenile brigade, since its launch in 2013. A feature film on which he collaborates with his partner Nathalie Lecoultre. Over the years, the presenter received a lot of criticism on social networks.

Indeed, some Internet users canโ€™t stand his style of presenting โ€œ12 Midi Flipsโ€, while others take pleasure in ridiculing his playing Leo Mattei.
โ€œThe problem is that critics hide behind smartphones.. In TF1, if weโ€™re bad, weโ€™re gone. Quantity is important, we must not deceive ourselves. Criticism, if it is constructive, I accept it without problems. And we can have a dialogue and exchange opinions with great pleasure,โ€ thus he responded to his detractors inTV Mag.
