A 48-year-old Big Spring man was arrested in the 1100 block of East 14th Street on a child custody interference warrant, according to Big Spring Police.
BIG SPRING, Texas. A 48-year-old Big Spring man was arrested after an AMBER Alert was issued for his 14-year-old daughter.
According to the Big Spring Police Department, Rich was arrested in the 1100 block of East 14th Street in Big Spring on an active warrant that was issued Tuesday as a result of an ongoing investigation that later led to an Amber Alert on Wednesday.
The department says other warrants may be obtained depending on the results of the investigation.
The 14-year-old was located safely Wednesday with assistance from the Texas Rangers, Howard County Sheriffโs Office, Police Department of Public Safety and other agencies.
The teen was reported missing this week, according to the Big Spring Police Department, and the department says the AMBER alert played a critical role in her recovery.
On Wednesday, officials said she was safe and receiving adequate care.
The Big Spring Police Department thanked the public, media partners and all agencies involved for their assistance in this matter.
Other arrest warrants may be obtained depending on the results of the investigation, the Big Spring Police Department said.
