ATLANTA – Longtime Atlanta radio host Darian Morgan, better known as Big Tiger, has been arrested on charges of battery and child abuse.
Morgan was arrested Saturday and later released on $10,000 bail for assaulting his wife, Alicia Brown.
According to an arrest affidavit from May, Morgan and his wife, Alicia Brown, got into an argument in their bedroom over text messages he received from a female co-worker. Brown told police her husband and co-worker had been exchanging text messages for several weeks.
That’s when Brown said Morgan began raising his voice and yelling at her, “You’re crazy.”
Brown said Morgan then pulled out his phone and began recording her. Brown said she tried to wrestle the phone out of Morgan’s hands and then he pushed her to the floor to get the phone back.
Brown said she was left with a small bruise on her lower lip during the incident.

Brown said she then went down to the basement of their Sandy Springs home, where they work from home.
She said Morgan followed her into the basement office.
“I’ll show you crazy,” Brown yelled at Morgan as she unplugged the computer from the wall, the affidavit says. “I helped buy this equipment for the two of us.”
Brown says that’s when Morgan came up behind her, grabbed her arms and told her to stop. Brown said she told Morgan to “leave me alone and get your hands off me.”
Brown then said Morgan “used force to move the victim and pushed the victim, causing the victim to trip head first on the office door.”
Brown suffered a deep cut above her left eye, the report said.
The incident between the two was recorded by the RING security system, according to the affidavit.
Brown ended up going to Dunwoody Urgent Care, where police were eventually called to investigate. She was then taken to Grady Memorial Hospital due to the severity of the cut, the affidavit states.
Brown was initially uncooperative, telling police she was “afraid of what (Morgan) might do to me and because he’s a famous celebrity and no one believed me.”
The child abuse charge stems from the fact that the couple’s 13-year-old son was at home during the fight and heard everything that was happening.
Over the past couple of weeks, Morgan has addressed what he called “significant public discussion and speculation regarding my personal life” on social media and during his radio show.
“I want to categorically state that these allegations and accusations that are circulating are false,” he said. “Out of respect for everyone involved, I ask for grace, privacy and restraint as my family navigates this difficult moment.”
