Yannick Noah hospitalized with appendicitis

Yannick Noah announced that he was rushed to the hospital due to appendicitis, according to an Instagram story posted on June 24. The former tennis champion and singer shared a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed, wearing a blue robe and apparently already being treated by doctors. Looking dejected, the star winces as the photo reads โ€œAppendicitis.โ€

The one who became a father for the sixth time in October 2024 was due to perform at the Festiโ€™Val De Lโ€™Oust festival on July 5 in Saint-Servan-sur-Oust, in Morbihan. At this point we donโ€™t know if it will be rescheduled, but the date has not been cancelled.

Young body?

Appendicitis is an inflammation of the appendix, a condition that can cause severe abdominal pain, sometimes nausea, fever and digestive problems. Proper treatment requires a quick response, usually through an appendectomy, to avoid complications such as peritonitis or appendix abscess, as stated on the Ameli website.

The operation, often performed laparoscopically, is one of the most common and best controlled in France. Today, appendectomies mainly affect the young and middle-aged population with two peaks in frequency: 10-14 years and 25-34 years. The 66-year-old ex-tennis player seems to be defying statistics.
