Internet users identified the financier as the man who was recently seen with Rodrigo in Brooklyn.
Olivia Rodrigo’s recent appearances with an unidentified companion in New York have sparked widespread discussion online, with social media users claiming to have identified the man at the center of the dating rumors as Julian Cronenberg.
The singer was reportedly seen with the same man three times in Brooklyn within a week.
Celebrity Account Dexmois first reported that the pair were spotted having lunch in the Clinton Hill area, prompting fans to nickname him the “Clinton Hill Man.”
The couple was later reportedly seen dining together at a Brooklyn restaurant and wine bar, where an eyewitness said they appeared affectionate throughout the evening. The third reported sighting took place at Nightmoves, a no-phone nightclub in Brooklyn, where witnesses claimed they were seen kissing on the dance floor.
Following the sightings, user X stated that the mystery man was Julian Kroonenbergs. The message claimed: “I just found out about Olivia Rodrigo’s mystery man she is dating. His name is Julian Kroonenbergs. He is a graduate of Brown University, a private equity professional in New York City, previously worked in investment banking, and was a field hockey player for Team USA.”

Kroonenbergs is reported to be a New York-based private equity partner at Hg Capital, a software investment firm.
Prior to joining the company, he worked as an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs.
He graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in applied mathematics and computer science.
In addition to finance, Kroonenbergs also represented the U.S. men’s national field hockey team from 2018 to 2020.
Playing as both a forward and midfielder, he competed internationally after developing his career with Greenwich Hockey Club.
Despite the claims, there has been no official confirmation that Kroonenbergs is the man photographed with Rodrigo.
Neither Olivia Rodrigo nor Julian Kroonenbergs have publicly commented on the dating rumors.
