LFI parliamentarians return to Caledonia. Mathilde Paneau, president of the Insoumise La France group in the National Assembly, and MP for Seine-Saint-Denis Bastien Lachaux announce their return from Friday, July 3 to Sunday, July 12. This is a new step that follows the recent elections.
“In the context of discussions regarding the institutional future, the delegation will consult with elected officials newly appointed to the ballot box during municipal elections as well as provincial elections, and will advocate for the group’s positions with local political forces.”

“Electoral breakthrough on the part of the independence camp”
And add: “Emmanuel Macron’s violent attacks to impose a thaw on the electoral body and then the so-called Bougival draft agreement have forever undermined civil peace in Kanaki-New Caledonia.” Two visitors who call “recent electoral surge in the independence camp”they also intend to emphasize, they write, “the need to restart the process of independence and decolonization.”
Contrasting Congress
On Sunday, June 28, the provincials changed the composition of the Caledonian Congress. 26 of the 54 seats will be occupied by supporters of independence and the nationalist camp. But it seems to be divided. And if the Loyalist-Rassemblement lists did not receive an absolute majority on the Boulevard Vauban, the non-independence coalition now forms the leading political force with 24 elected officials. Four other advisors from Oceanian Awakening are again able to turn the trend in one direction or another.
Meeting
The One Heart, One Voice Association, which advocates for an open electorate, announced that it would “request a meeting” with members of the LFI delegation. “And explain to them that we are defending democracy.”. Meetings open to the public are also planned, such as Saturday 4 July in Lifou.
