THE SHOWDOWN will take center stage on Saturday night when Port Adelaide and Adelaide renew their rivalry.
Port Adelaide (4-10) saw a poor season go from bad to worse, leading Collingwood by the slimmest of margins at the main break before injuries struck and they were left with no legs to hand them a sixth defeat in their last seven matches.
POWER vs CROWS Follow it live
The Powers failed to even score in the second half, although they can be expected to qualify for the Showdown after giving the Crows a massive scare earlier this year.
Adelaide (9-5) continued its climb up the standings and are within one spot of the top four, having overtaken Melbourne in the last season and with six wins from their last seven matches.
The Crows have the same record against the Power in an ominous series that dates back to early 2023 and can now inflict more misery on their heated rivals while boosting their own hopes of a double chance.
