Tony Modra spoke for the first time since his near-fatal cattle truck accident, thanking the AFL community for their continued support during his recovery.
The former Adelaide Crows star remains under medical care for injuries sustained after a tree fell on his car while driving in the Back Valley earlier this month.

The 57-year-oldโs family described the crash as an โaccidentโ and confirmed on Monday that he had undergone two surgeries since being hospitalized.
Modraโs wife Erica was on the phone with him when his truck collided with a tree branch, and her son Luke used the Find My iPhone app to help direct emergency services to him.
While Modraโs road to recovery will be long, he revealed his plan to watch the epic clash between Port Adelaide and the Crows from his hospital bed.

Modraโs former club lost 13.19(97) to 11.5(71) against Power.
He concluded his first message since the accident with a message about road safety to fans, players and team staff who traveled to Adelaide Oval on Saturday.
