The Vancouver Canucks selected center Brooks Rogowski with the 33rd overall pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft.

Rogowski was projected to be selected around 39th overall across all major draft rankings, ranging from 15th to 61st. NHL Central Scouting ranked him 21st among North American skaters. Daily face-off Prospect analyst Stephen Ellis projected him to top consensus at No. 29 overall.

Ellis had this to say about Rogowski in his latest draft rankings:

โ€œI really enjoyed watching Rogowski, one of the top big guys in this yearโ€™s draft. At 6-foot-7, he clearly has size. But I also appreciated how well he hustle on both wings, chasing pucks and breaking up plays. Heโ€™s a smart forward who uses his big frame to win battles, but he also has a good shot and isnโ€™t afraid to shoot from anywhere, trying to surprise.โ€ goalkeeper.โ€ Rogowski wonโ€™t be a major offensive threat, but as a secondary player, he has a ton of tools to help him become useful. Players who move as well as his size are in demand in the NHL.โ€

Rogowski began his 2025โ€“26 season with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League. In 46 games with the team, he scored 15 goals and 27 assists for 42 points as the Generals finished last in the Eastern Conference with a 19-45-3-1 record. He finished third on the team in scoring and third in assists.

Rogowski then represented the United States at the FIFA U-18 World Cup, where he recorded three assists in four games. The USA finished first in their group but lost to Latvia in the quarterfinals.

Rogowski is expected to return for another year in the OHL next season with the Generals before transferring to Michigan State University for the 2027-28 season.
