The wedding of Avantika Sundar, daughter of South Indian cinema’s most loved heroine and political leader Khushbu, and director Sundar C was one of the most beautiful celebrations the world of Indian cinema has ever seen. The wedding, held at a beautiful location in Goa, in the presence of close family and friends, was a star-studded affair. Avantika’s fiancé is Shravan Srinivasan, a merchant navy officer.

The beautiful moments of this wedding, which was attended by big stars of Bollywood and South Indian cinema, accompanied by controversies on social media and Khushboo’s exact response to it, have now become the main topic of discussion among movie lovers.

Tamannaah and Trisha shine at the wedding venue

The wedding scenes in Avantika were even comparable to scenes from films. Tamannaah Bhatia and Trisha Krishnan, the bride’s closest friends and leading heroines of the film world, came as bridesmaids.

Fans remembered these beautiful moments as Tamannaah shared rare pictures from the wedding ceremony on her Instagram page. Using Instagram’s new feature, Tamannaah added touching notes to each photo. Tamannaah and Trisha looked stunning in traditional ivory silk sarees throughout the event.

Sharing the photos, Tamannaah wrote, “Friends are like family.” Photos of both wearing the same color outfit instantly went viral on social media. Tamannaah shared emotional moments of the Thaliketa ceremony and pictures with Khushbu and Sundar C for her fans.

Although it was a very private ceremony for only the closest of friends, the wedding venue in Goa was graced by the presence of leading Indian film personalities. Megastar Chiranjeevi with his wife Surekha Konidela and King Nagarjuna with his wife and actress Amala Akkineni were present at the event. Actor Venkatesh and his wife Neeraja Daggubati were also present at the wedding.

Bollywood’s eternal heroes Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff were present at the event and rekindled their old friendship and posed for pictures together. But the absence of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay was very noticeable at the event, which was attended by many celebrities from the political and film industries. Khushboo also took to Instagram to share that she invited him to Vijay’s residence.

Bhagyaraj’s demise and cyber attack

At Avantika’s wedding ceremony, K’s video of Bhagyaraj participating and sharing his friendship with actor Chiranjeevi by hugging him was circulated on social media. However, immediately after Bhagyaraj’s death, Khushboo shared her daughter’s wedding photos on social media, which angered a section of cyber users.

On the one hand, when the entire film world is in mourning, many have turned away from Khushboo, wondering whether it is right to share such celebratory photos. “Are such posts necessary now? As the whole of Tamil Nadu mourns the demise of Bhagyaraj sir…” the comment boxes were filled with criticism.

K: Speaking about Bhagyaraj’s wife Purnima, another remarked: “All sorrows are not our own, but we must show compassion to each other. The couple who attended your family wedding together are no longer together. Your friend Purnima suddenly became a widow. Can’t you share this sadness for at least one day? there was a comment against Khushboo. But Khushboo’s response to the critics was: “I have every right to be happy.”

Undeterred by the brutal cyberattacks aimed at him, Khushboo responded with strong language. Khushbu gave a clear answer to those who doubted her right as a mother to celebrate the most important moment in her daughter’s life.

“Then why are you following me?” Just to criticize? Less than 48 hours later, my daughter got married. Who knows Purnima better? For you or for me? If you find this difficult, stop following me. I would rather live without people like you. I have every right to be happy,” Khushboo said.

Khushboo’s response to critics sparked heated discussions on social media. Most fans came out in support of Khushboo, saying that it was wrong to link the great happiness of one person’s family with the bereavement of another and launch a cyber attack.

K. Khushbu also expressed condolences on the death of Bhagyaraj on his official page. Sharing his photo, he wrote, “Sir. Fun moments with you will forever remain in my memories. I will miss you,” Khushboo wrote. Fans argue that the cyber attack on Khushbu, who despite his grief did not forget about his responsibilities, was completely unnecessary.
