William Saliba and Martin Odegaard are through to the knockout stages of the World Cup following Mondayโs results.
Saliba played 90 minutes of Franceโs 3-0 win over Iraq in pouring rain at Philadelphia Stadium, making seven defensive passes and recording a passing accuracy of 95%.
Kylian Mbappe gave France the lead in the 14th minute, and after a two-hour half-time break due to bad weather, lightning struck twice as he scored a brace nine minutes into the second half before Ousmane Dembele scored.
France now lead Group I with six points from two matches, ahead of only second-place Norway on goal difference.
Norway also scored at half-time in a 3-2 win over Senegal, with Marcus Pederson giving them the lead.
Our club captain set up Erling Haaland with a sharp through ball to make it 2-0 early in the second half before Senegal pulled the ball back through Ismaila Sarr.
Haaland and Sarr scored a goal each in the second half as Norway advanced to the round of 16.
Odegaard and company enjoyed the celebration of the Norse Viking battle at the end of the game!
