Ride or Die on Prime Video is a summer spy thriller about friendship
You think you know everything about your best friend, but do you really? This question is at the center of the Prime Video show Ride or Die. The series stars Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham as two best friends who end up going into hiding in Europe after Waddingham’s character is revealed to be an international assassin. What a turn!
Ride or Die release date July 15, 2026 on Prime Video. Spencer and Waddingham will be joined in the cast by Bill Nighy and Ed Skrein. You can watch the trailer below.
By the way, Octavia Spencer’s character’s reaction to having to drive is exactly the same as what I would have if I ever had to drive to the other side of the road. Hopefully this isn’t the last time we see Octavia Spencer in the spy genre. The world could always use more of Octavia Spencer (when will the MCU bring her back to reprise her role from Raimi’s original Spider-Man film?).
