Two Connecticut Lottery players took home more than $177,000 from 9 winning tickets sold at one location

Two Connecticut Lottery players took home a total of $177,080 in prizes Wednesday.

The West Hartford resident won a total of $127,080 from the seven winning Play 4 tickets. The West Hartford player’s three winning tickets totaled $25,000 each, and the remaining four tickets totaled $13,020 each.

Another Connecticut Lottery player from Ludlow, Massachusetts, won a total of $50,000 on two winning Play 4 tickets. The prize amount for each Massachusetts resident’s ticket was $25,000.

According to the Connecticut Lottery website, the odds of winning $25,000 or $13,020 in the Play 4 game are 1 in 10,000 for both prize amounts.

Both Connecticut Lottery players purchased their winning tickets at the Sam’s Food Store located at 1149 New Britain Ave. in West Hartford.

Play 4 prize amounts range from $14,000 to $25,000. There are four numbers drawn twice daily that players can try to match with their Play 4 tickets. According to the Connecticut Lottery website, players can win in a variety of ways if their numbers match the numbers drawn.

Game 4 is played in $0.50 increments, starting at $0.50 and going up to $5 per bet. Players can also add a Wild Ball bet to double the value of their bet.

Daily drawings for Game 4 take place daily at 1:57 p.m. Wagering closes at 13:45 and resumes at 14:01. Nightly drawings take place at 10:29 p.m. Wagering closes at 22:20 and resumes at 22:46.
