Military draft day 2026 is finally here, and with it, Rebecca Yarros has just announced the biggest Fourth wing update some time later on Wednesday, July 15th.
Yarros has finally confirmed the premise and title of the new in the empyrean book also known as “Not Book 4” among Fourth wing fans on Instagram. The new book is called Threshing dayincluding 13 stories about the greatest and most influential characters in the empyrean The universe is on Threshing Day – and yes, that includes dragons. The bestselling author also reveals that the deluxe edition’s illustrations were created by Joe Requeza, who has worked on fantasy titles such as Light of Mezzara Tim McKay and Lord of the East Derek Beebe.

Threshing day Not Fourth wing Book 4
For those who don’t remember, Military Conscription Day is the day Fourth wing when the cadets cross the parapet and officially join the Horsemen’s Quadrant, as Violet Sorrengale does at the beginning of the first book in the series. The big revelation on Draft Day ended months of speculation about what Yarros had planned for the story. Fans really had no idea what to expect, but along the way there were plenty of clues that this was what Yarros had in mind for the next part of Violet’s story.
It should also be noted that Threshing day this is not the fourth book Empyrean row. Yes, this is the fourth book to be published and it is part of a series, but it is not. That the fourth book that will continue Violet and Xaden’s journey after the wild ending Onyx storm third book in the series.
