Her most recent albums haven’t come close to matching the success of her first few albums, and a song she released in 2025 called “Bandaids” was less popular.

Just over a week ago, Perry shared “Watch It Burn,” her first taste of new music this year. Unfortunately, the song didn’t make it onto many of America’s most important charts… but it only managed to make one.

Despite heavy promotion and plenty of hype for what could be a new era for Perry, “Watch It Burn” falls completely short of many of the ratings it needs to achieve to become a bona fide hit. “Watch It Burn” did not appear on the Billboard Hot 100 or some other non-genre charts such as the Digital Song Sales, Streaming Songs or Radio Songs charts. The track, which may or may not be the first taste of the upcoming album, also failed to appear on either the Billboard Global 200 or the Billboard Global Excl. Up just one notch, “Watch It Burn” becomes Perry’s lowest-peaking hit, at least in the first frame. Prior to the release of her latest single, that honor belonged to “Cozy Little Christmas,” which spent one week at No. 37 (just one spot above “Watch It Burn”) back in 2018.
