Just under twenty days before the resumption of training, scheduled for July 27, Lyon announced this Thursday its pre-season program.
This includes an internship in Germany, at the Adidas campus in Herzogenaurach (August 13-21), where Jonathan Giraldes’ group has already settled down after already staying there last summer.
Lyon’s expansion will take place over four friendly matches*, all of which will be played against foreign teams. The first will take place on August 8 against the Spanish side Real Sociedad, third in the last La Liga and therefore taking part in the preliminary rounds of the Champions League. This meeting will take place at home in the morning (at 11 am), but behind closed doors.

The next two meetings will take place during the German internship of the Lyon delegation. On August 16 at 13:00, the Fenottes will fight directly on the site of the three-strip Eintracht Frankfurt brand, sixth in the Bundesliga. Then, on August 21, back in Herzogenaurach, at 11 a.m., the European vice-champions will meet Aston Villa.
Fans will have to wait until August 29 (time TBA) to find their team. On this occasion, GOLTC will welcome the London City Lionesses club, also owned by Michelle Kang. Ranked sixth in the WSL, he has been very active in the transfer market, notably attracting German striker Nicole Agnomi (Eintracht Frankfurt) and Ballon d’Or winner Alexia Putellas (Barcelona). This gala match, which already gave birth to Kangiko last year in the same period (3-1), will give Lyon one last quality rehearsal less than a week before the trip to Fleury, scheduled for September 5 at 21:00.
