Saturday marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, marking the birth of the United States of America as an independent nation. This means that financial markets, as well as many businesses and service industries, will celebrate the holiday the previous Friday, July 3rd.
The Fourth of July holiday is one of 12 recognized federal holidays in the United States and is filled with parades, fireworks, concerts and other American flag-waving events.
