Callum Turner's Nikes are ready for the apocalypse

In case you missed it (for whatever reason), Callum Turner and Dua Lipa got married. They then spent their honeymoon driving around Italy, doing lots of glamorous honeymoon things. You know: boating in Positano, sightseeing in Rome, sunbathing in Tuscany. Beautiful! But the holidays don’t last forever, and eventually you’ll have to go back to work.

And that’s exactly what Turner did. Spotted in New York, the British actor had stubble on his face, a Brut Archives track jacket on his back, and a chunky track jacket (obviously a Louis Vuitton one – he’s still a Hollywood actor, after all) slung over his shoulder. It was the look of a man ready to work. And on foot? Nike Air Max Goadome. But this wasn’t just any old Goadom. It was a cropped version of the Swoosh that released earlier this year, and sneakerheads got a little mad about it.

Stewart from New York

Back in 2000, Nike wanted something that could compete with Timberland’s 6-inch cleats. So, as part of its ACG line, the company introduced the Air Max Goadome. He was a big, muscular boy who looked like he could survive several winters and a minor natural disaster. And while it was technically built for the great outdoors, it didn’t take long for the streets to make their presence known.

Nearly three decades later, the American sportswear giant chopped off the ankle and gave us the Goadome Low. The pair on Turner’s feet comes in a Taupe colorway with a waterproof upper, durable laces and chunky metal D-rings on the front. Down below, a heavy lug outsole provides plenty of traction, while Air Max cushioning keeps you comfortable and comfortable. Essentially, Nike took everything that made the OGs durable enough for bad weather and rough terrain and turned them into something that’s a little easier to wear with a good pair of vintage jeans.

Eternity The star has historically been a Nike man himself. While on a date with his now-wife last February, he pulled up to a restaurant in a super sleek Air Max TL 2.5. But now that he’s back from a few weeks in the Italian sun, he’s decided to do something a little more challenging.

The honeymoon is over. The stubble is in place. Work boots. Callum Turner is officially back to work.
