The teaser doesn’t reveal much but hints at a familiar design with a few cosmetic updates. Expect the facelift to include updated front and rear styling, a new set of alloy wheels and subtle changes that will freshen up the overall look without straying too far from the existing model.
The cabin is also likely to receive a light overhaul. The package is expected to include a new interior theme, an updated infotainment system with an updated user interface and a fully digital instrument cluster. Maruti Suzuki could also use a facelift to add a few more convenience features.
The most significant changes will likely come under the hood. The updated Brezza is expected to debut with a 1.0-litre Maruti Suzuki Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual or automatic transmission. If this powertrain makes it to the Brezza, it could help Maruti Suzuki price the SUV more competitively and also offer better performance compared to its competitors in the compact SUV segment.
With bookings already being accepted and the launch just around the corner, the updated Brezza will soon take on rivals like the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Hyundai Venue, Skoda Kylaq and Kia Syros with its updated design and new turbo-petrol heart.
