Rajeev Shukla also responded to those people who have been criticizing the team management, coach and captain for the past few days for not getting a chance in Game-11 for Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Shukla says that the team management made Vaibhav’s debut on time and now he has a great opportunity to prove himself.
Speaking to ANI, Rajeev Shukla said, “Big congratulations to Vaibhav Suryavanshi for his debut. BCCI does not do injustice to anyone. A player who deserves this opportunity will definitely get it. There was a lot of noise on social media about Vaibhav not being given a chance and the coach-captain being criticized. But it wasn’t like that at all.

He further said, “A few days ago, I said that when the right time comes, Vaibhav will definitely get a chance and that is exactly what happened. I have full confidence that he will perform brilliantly in the future and leave a strong mark on the Indian team. The decision of the team management was absolutely correct and deserves praise.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi created history by making his debut at the age of 15 years and 99 days. He became the youngest player to play international cricket for India. He left behind Sachin Tendulkar and Shefali. Even though Vaibhav’s international debut could not turn out to be a big success, he showed that he is capable of performing well on the big stage.

He hit a brilliant six off fast bowler Joffra Archer’s first ball. After that, “Baby Boss” scored six more. Vaibhav scored 14 runs off 10 balls. The opportunity didn’t last long, but his fearless play caught everyone’s attention.
