Bella Hadid is getting emotional as she battles another episode of Lyme disease.

On Thursday, June 25, Hadid revealed that she had an attack that she couldn’t “get rid of” on her Instagram Stories. The 29-year-old supermodel shared an emotional photo of herself lying down and crying, writing that despite sleeping “11 hours,” taking daily naps and taking “every protocol from each and every doctor I’ve seen,” she couldn’t find relief.

She added that her symptoms often lead to “severe isolation and depression, especially over long periods of time.”

“I’ve now diagnosed myself with 12 more, so that’s good,” she said sarcastically. “And today is not the day to ask me to keep a diary. And yes, I drank water. And no, I didn’t go for a walk because I was out of breath walking to the kitchen,” she added with a laughing emoji.

With a bit of humor, she admitted that her own advice didn’t work in the episode.

“I don’t think there’s any one brain cell working there and my last two are fighting with each other, so I’m really sorry if I’ve ever told you on a bad day to journal, I take that back and I’m sorry,” she continued, adding a crying emoji. “I took a shower without passing out… and again, if you know… that was quite an accomplishment for me today, so maybe someone can send me some cookies or something.”

She also shared several videos from comedian Oliver George about living with chronic illness, including how to make plans around it.

In another story published early Friday morning, Hadid returned to allay any concerns.

Model and socialite Lori Harvey said she has been battling polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and endometriosis, diseases that occur in the reproductive system and have no known causes, for many years. In a September 2025 episode of the She MD podcast, the entrepreneur revealed that gynecologists ignored her symptoms for years before she was properly diagnosed.

Attached to a photo of a deer outside her window, she wrote: “Sorry if I bothered anyone.

“I know it sounds unpleasant, but in truth, this is my reality, so now I can deal with it to the fullest,” she continued. “For me it’s really been every day, ebb and flow, Flo, for the last 15 years.”

Hadid has been open about her Lyme disease diagnosis in the past few years, after she was first diagnosed as a teenager in 2012. Her mother Yolanda Hadid and brother Anwar Hadid also live with the disease, which is usually transmitted through the bites of infected ticks – often ones that attach for at least 24 hours. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Lyme disease “transmission from mother to fetus is possible but extremely rare.”

Bella Hadid reported major hospitalizations in 2023 and 2025 that required treatment, and in both cases she recovered enough to return to the runway.

After she opened up, the model thanked fans for their support.

“I just felt a huge amount of emotion over not being able to do what my mind is capable of doing but my body is not capable of doing,” she wrote. “Every day is a new day, and I hope that tomorrow, with God’s help, will be better. I love you guys so much, thank you for your support. I didn’t expect this, but I’m truly grateful.”
