The British Columbia Forest Fire Service said the increase in cases over the weekend was caused by wind gusts reaching speeds of 50 kilometers per hour.
It forced the evacuation of 155 properties in the North Bend and Fish Blue Lake areas of the Fraser Valley Regional District, as well as the Boothroyd First Nation.
More than 250 facilities are on evacuation alert.
