The Anaheim Ducks signed forward AJ Greer to a four-year contract, adding some Stanley Cup experience to the rising contender.
His contract has an average annual value of $4.25 million and includes a 10-team no-trade clause, an NHL source told ESPN on Tuesday. He just completed a two-year contract with AAV for $850,000.
Greer, 29, was set to become an unrestricted free agent on Wednesday. Earlier this week, the Ducks traded the rights to defenseman Radko Gudas to the Florida Panthers for the right to negotiate exclusively with Greer.

Greer is entering his 10th season in the NHL, having played for the Colorado Avalanche, New Jersey Devils, Boston Bruins, Calgary Flames and Panthers. He was a power forward against 2025 Stanley Cup champion Florida.
He reached a career high in the 2025-26 season, the final year of his contract, taking advantage of increased playing time (12:26) and lineup opportunities due to injuries to the Panthers’ forwards, scoring 17 goals and 15 assists in 78 games.
He will bring some toughness and physicality to the Ducks lineup, as Greer had 113 penalty minutes last season in Florida, the most of any Anaheim player. He had 243 PIM in two seasons at Florida.
Greer is the third member of the Panthers’ bottom six offensive line to leave the team this offseason. Florida traded forwards Evan Rodriguez and Jesper Boqvist to the Devils on Tuesday in a deal that sent goaltender Jacob Markstrom to Florida.
