Spain’s Diario AS reports that Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka, previously linked with AC Milan, has been offered by Atletico Madrid, but the Colchoneros are also interested in Morten Hjulmand, another player on the Rossoneri’s radar.

The transfer strategies of Milan and Atlético Madrid could be intertwined in central midfield.

The latest report from Diario AS, by the way, claims that Goretzka was offered to the Spanish side as a free transfer.

Back in April, Gazzetta reported that Goretzka had given the green light for a move to Milan this summer, but there have been no new developments in recent weeks, possibly also due to the sacking of Massimiliano Allegri.

In fact, the Italian tactician is said to be a long-time admirer of Goretzka, who announced his departure from Bayern Munich as a free agent a few months ago.

According to AS, Atlético Madrid are currently assessing Goretzka, but have also set their sights on another Milan target – Sporting CP star Julmand.

Former Lecce midfielder Julmand played under new Milan coach Amorim at Sporting, and for this reason there have been reports of the Rossoneri’s interest in the Dane recently.

Milan will be looking to strengthen their midfield this summer as Matteo Moretto revealed the Rossoneri’s priority in the coming weeks will be to sign a new centre-back.
