Galway retired the number 10 jersey this weekend as a mark of respect to the late Paul Clancy, who passed away on Monday.
Sein D’Arcy will wear the number 22 shirt at right half-back when Padraic Joyce’s side take on Dublin at Croke Park on Sunday (4pm) for a place in the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship semi-finals.
The only change to the line-up since the Tribesmen’s win over Westmeath two weeks ago is that Shane McGrath starts at centre-half and Fionn McDonagh drops to the bench.
On the occasion of Clancy’s funeral taking place today, Galway GAA said: “As a mark of respect to the late Paul Clancy, may he rest in peace, the number 10 shirt that Paul proudly wore as a player will not be used in Sunday’s match. Our thoughts are with Joanna, Ellen, Finn and the Clancy family, Paul’s friends and former teammates who are gathering today to say goodbye to him. Ar dheis Dรฉ go raibh a anam Dilis.
