It’s not often that we get a second chance when it comes to PlayStation Plus deals, but that’s exactly what we just got with these five free games.
Subscription services like PlayStation Plus are getting more expensive along with the prices of gaming consoles, but at least thankfully Sony’s subscription service still offers good value for money, regardless of the tier.
That being said, we’re not sure how much value PlayStation Plus might have if it continues to raise prices. Let’s hope Sony follows Microsoft’s lead and lowers the price, like we recently saw with Xbox Game Pass.
PlayStation Plus extends access to these games for another month
Unlike the base tier PlayStation Plus Essential, where games always remain available as long as you have an active subscription, games in the PS Plus Extra and Premium libraries tend to come and go on a regular basis, making room for something new.

For the most part, some games are coming back, but you could be waiting months, or more likely even years, to return a game you haven’t finished yet. However, as Reddit user alldake told us, five games that were supposed to leave PS Plus Extra and Premium in July now won’t leave the service until the end of August.
Currently, eight games will be released from PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium on July 21st, but the five games that we will have an extra month to play on August 18th are:
- Bomber
- Clash: Artifacts of Chaos
- Onee Chanbara Origin
- Argument
- Space Crew: Legendary Edition
“Okay, just a little more time. They should do it every two months,” suggested Fickle_Leg7455.
“Damn golf And Risk of rain 2 both are really good games. I suggest checking them out before they leave,โ recommended Dazzling-Adeptness11.
“I was going to miss Bomberbut if I have another month I may check this in addition to Deadlines. It would be great if they could always notify us like this,โ Skydude252 said.
When will the next PS Plus extra and premium games be announced?
Sony typically announces the next batch of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games every second Wednesday of the month.
As such, the next batch of games should be announced on July 8th, followed by a phased rollout that is being tested in the US, UK and Japan. As always, we will keep you updated as this information becomes available.
