Dee has embraced the new experience and believes the Barbarians can survive in the professional era.
โIt was probably the most fun Iโve ever had on the field and it was a great ride,โ Dee said.
โI think the game needs this. At times it can be too serious now. Thereโs always so much pressure and so much at stake.โ
โSometimes it can take the fun out of it. There is nothing like it. It was an amazing experience with a great group of men.
โTo go from not knowing anyone 10 days ago to becoming close friends on and off the field now is pretty special.โ
And Dee believes the new-look Baa-Baas team can perform well on the pitch this weekend.
โI was surprised at how quickly we came together,โ he added.
โThe pressure is off and you try things you might not have tried in the Test team.
โFor some reason, the Baa-Baas jersey most often feels like theyโre coming off.โ
The Barbariansโ fluid nature was demonstrated this week by the arrival of double World Cup-winning South African scrum-half Faf de Klerk.
Seven days after being part of the Springboks side that inflicted a heavy defeat on the Baa Baas, de Klerk will captain the visiting team against Wales this weekend.
โHe was full of energy, he was in a hurry to get away,โ Dee said.
โHe is a great character, leads the group well and brings a lot of excitement.
โIโm sure heโll try something this weekend to get the crowd going.โ
