Dani Olmo grew up at Barcelona’s famous La Masia football academy, left as a teenager to build his career in Croatia and Germany, and eventually returned to Barcelona in 2024. He won the 2024 European Championship with Spain and was among the tournament’s top scorers. At the 2026 World Cup, he provided an assist in Spain’s semi-final win over France, equaling Spain’s record for most assists at a major tournament.

Schmitt was born in 1998 and comes from the region of Ostfriesland in northern Germany. She moved to Spain when Olmo moved to Barcelona, and the couple now live together in the Catalan capital.
The couple went public in 2024.

Schmitt can be heard on the podcast Pretty Best Strangerswhich roughly translates from German to English as “Pretty Best Strangers,” a weekly podcast she records with her co-host named Ceddo. According to the show’s description, the series grew out of an experiment in getting to know someone with 36 questions and has since produced 143 episodes, which the hosts describe as “honest, funny and personal looks” at their lives. It is released weekly on Mondays and is available to German speakers via Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
She’s not interested in being a typical “WAG”.
Schmitt spoke directly about how she feels when people reduce her to her relationship with Olmo. In an interview with the European sports news site 2024.
