Priyanka Chopra reunites with 'Andaaz' co-star Lara Dutta at Wimbledon: 'So good to see my girl'

London:

Sometimes just one photo is enough to take fans back in time. Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta’s Wimbledon reunion did just that, reminding many of their unforgettable pairing in Andaaz over two decades ago.

PeeCee and Lara Dutta recently crossed paths at Wimbledon and the reunion of the two former beauty queens has left fans feeling nostalgic. The actresses, who shared screen space in the 2003 film Andaaz, were happy to see each other reunite after over 20 years.

Priyanka, who was crowned Miss World in 2000, and Lara, who won the Miss Universe title the same year, have enjoyed successful film careers. Their friendship was on full display as they posed together at a prestigious tennis tournament in London.

On Sunday, Priyanka shared a photo of herself posing with Lara. In the photo, PeeCee is seen warmly hugging her friend as they both smile at the camera. Priyanka looked elegant in a white halter neck dress while Lara looked stylish in a blue dress paired with white shoulders. Along with the photo, PeeCee wrote: “So good to see my girl.”

Lara also posted the same photo on her Instagram and talked about their long journey together. Looking back on the years, she wrote: “26 years later, the happy girls are still…”.

The reunion quickly gained attention online, with fans flooding the comments section with messages. It reminded many of Andaaz, with one fan writing, “Andaaz is back,” while another commented, “Miss World and Miss Universe together.” Some others joked that the reunion seemed incomplete without Akshay Kumar, who co-starred in the film along with the two actresses.

Directed by Raj Kanwar and produced by Sunil Darshan. Andaaz marked Lara Dutta’s debut in Bollywood. Released in 2003, the romantic drama was a commercial success and is still remembered for its music, acting and fresh cast of lead stars.

On the work front, Priyanka is all set to return to Indian cinema after an eight-year hiatus with S.S. Rajamouli’s Varanasi, which also stars Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film is currently in production and is expected to release in April 2027.

Meanwhile, Lara is currently seen in Welcome to the Jungle, where she plays Tejaswini in the ensemble action-comedy. Presented by AA Nadiadwala, Cape of Good Films and Star Studio18 in association with Seeta Films and Rakesh Dang, the film released in theaters on June 26.
