Jaipur: Twelve Delhi-bound flights, including four international flights, were diverted to Jaipur International Airport on Sunday after bad weather disrupted services in the national capital. The scams started around 11:30 am and all flights left for Delhi by 2:30 pm.The diverted international flights were Thai Airways TG323 from Bangkok, IndiGo 6E064 from Jeddah, Air Asia KC907 from Almaty and Air India AI4308 from Dubai. Domestic flights included Air India flights from Kolkata, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Pune and Mumbai, and IndiGo flights from Bengaluru and Ahmedabad.A passenger on Air Astana flight KC907 complained of nausea and was treated airside by an airport doctor and an ambulance.Airport sources said all 12 deviations were resolved within three hours without affecting scheduled flights at Jaipur. Passengers were not disembarked from the plane because the waiting time was short.Jaipur Airport is often used as an alternate airport for northern India due to its CAT III-B landing system, which allows aircraft to operate in low visibility conditions. The airport is also equipped with modern approach and runway visual range (RVR) lighting systems.
