The provisional top ten is completed by Michael Banducci (630,000), Daan Mulders (629,500), Miguel Riera (592,000), Chiori Gannon (589,500), Kevin Ordet (584,000), Haruna Fujita (551,500) and Peter Patricio (543,500).
Sasha Liu showed the best result among the late regulars. She multiplied her stack nearly tenfold from the early levels, busting a pair of kings with jack-five suited, and ended the day with a stack of 495,500 chips.
Eight former Main Event winners are still in the race. Greg Raymer, the 2004 champion, topped the field with 291,000 chips after doubling up late in the day.
Defending champion Michael Mizrachi also continues on his way. Starting with 73,000 chips, he finished with 202,500 and is still on track to become the first player to retain his title since Johnny Chan was crowned in 1987 and 1988.
Phil Hellmuth will also enter Day 3 with 173,000 chips. His son Nicholas, who is competing in the main event for the first time, survived thanks to two double-ups at the end of the day and will return with 24,000 chips. Hack Seed (83,000) and Greg Merson (79,000) will also be there.
Eliminations include Joe Cada, Damian Salas, Daniel Weinman, Jason Koon, Antonio Esfandiari and Adam Hendricks. Day 1C winner Ryuta Nakai saved the most after a tough day and will return with 235,500 in chips.
The 3,638 survivors of Day 1D will compete in Day 2D today. Registration will close at the start of Level 8. All qualifying players will meet on Wednesday for Day 3.
