Our new home jersey begins a journey through time through the Stuttgart district of Bad Cannstatt and its cultural heritage.
Mineral water deposits, early history, as well as the colors and achievements of the area: the VfB honors the area of its hometown of Bad Cannstatt with T-shirts for the 2026/2027 season. The dedication was created in close collaboration with supplier JAKO and main sponsor LBBW. And she takes all white and red fans and participants on a cultural journey through Bad Cannstatt. It all starts with the unveiling of the home jersey this Wednesday. The inspiration for this knitwear comes from water as part of Cannstatt’s cultural heritage.
The history of Bad Cannstatt is closely connected with rich deposits of mineral waters. The distribution volume is the second largest in Europe. 13 wells are healing springs of national importance. Mineral water not only powers numerous fountains today, but was once decisive for the first settlements on the Neckar bend. Cannstatt’s international reputation as a resort and bathing town in the mid-19th century also contributed to the resort’s English visitors being introduced to football earlier than almost anywhere else in Germany. In doing so, they laid the foundation for Cannstatt’s great football traditions.

The VfB home shirt for the 2026/2027 season combines cultural history and modernity. The striking design is characterized throughout by prominent and tactile relief motifs inspired by the Cannstätter “Klösterlebrunnen” and combined with typical regional symbols such as reindeer poles or Rössle. The red chest ring is visually elongated above the colored sleeves and flows upward, inspired by Kannstätter mineral water. This is reminiscent of the many home shirts with extended red sections throughout VfB’s long history, while at the same time paying homage to the club’s white and red colours. The high-quality embroidered VfB coat of arms badge is deliberately oversized. The design is complemented by a narrow round collar in club colors and one of the oldest “Cannstatter Kanne” images on the neck. Players and fans will wear the same jersey.

First appearance at the start of a public training session
Two goalkeeper shirts were also created in collaboration with the coaching team. They are decorated in bright neon colors of green and orange. The matching trousers are also characterized by smooth color gradients and a continuing fountain pattern. Socks with a chest ring complete the overall look.
All sizes for adults and children are now available online, and adult sizes are also already available in the VfB fan shops at the stadium, in the center of Stuttgart and in Bräuningerland Ludwigsburg. The jerseys are made in the traditional first-class JAKO quality, mainly from recycled materials.
The licensed team will be seen wearing the new home jersey for the first time at the start of public training on Thursday 16 July 2026 at the VfB club grounds.
