Manish Tiwari, Member of Parliament from Punjab’s Chandigarh Lok Sabha constituency and leader of the Indian National Congress, reacted to his failure to receive any important responsibility ahead of the state elections. When Manish Tiwari was questioned on this in an interview with news agency ANI, he said that he does not face any loss.
The Lok Sabha MP was asked that he was not given any official responsibility for the 2027 Assembly elections. Does this make you feel frustrated or angry? In response to this, Tiwari said not at all. I have served as MP from Punjab twice and also served as a minister in the central government. I represented Ludhiana, the industrial center of Punjab. In addition, Shri Anandpur Sahib was also introduced.

Tiwari said that as a Member of Parliament, I personally represented 18 of the 117 seats in the Punjab Assembly. I believe I understand Punjab well. Our family shed blood for Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiyat. In such a situation, if anyone feels that my experience and my understanding of Punjab should not be used, then I would only say that it is their loss and not mine.
Did you testify about leaving the party?
Chandigarh MP Tiwari was asked if he is still together, to which he replied that we are still the same people. But if someone feels that this experience of mine is useless to them, then I don’t regret it. My feelings about Punjab, my understanding of the challenges facing Punjab and the existential threats Punjab faces as a north-west frontier state, I regularly write and speak openly on all these issues.
