Harare, July 23: Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s storming half-century and solid bowling helped the Indian cricket team to a resounding 7-wicket win over Zimbabwe in the first T20I. With this, the Indian team opened the account of their first win under Shreyas Iyer’s captaincy.

Chasing Zimbabwe’s modest target of 126 runs, 15-year-old rising star Vaibhav Suryavanshi gave India a great start. He scored 50 runs off 19 balls with the help of 4 fours and 4 sixes. Vaibhav became the youngest player to score a half-century in men’s international cricket.
Mayank Yadav’s impressive comeback
Earlier, Indian bowlers kept Zimbabwe in check after losing the toss. Pacer Mayank Yadav, back from injury, played brilliantly and helped Zimbabwe reach 125/7 in 20 overs.
