British police investigating Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor are reportedly planning to travel to the US to speak with Virginia Giuffre’s family.

According to TimesOfficers from Thames Valley Police, the unit investigating the former Duke of York for potential sex crimes, will travel in the coming weeks to speak to her brother and sister-in-law Skye and Amanda Roberts.

It will not be a formal interview because Skye and Amanda are not considered direct witnesses to the sexual assault allegations made by Ms. Giuffre, who committed suicide last year, the outlet reported.

The king’s brother always categorically denied these accusations.

It is unknown whether Thames Valley received permission from US authorities to conduct the interview.

Andrew was arrested back in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office over allegations that he shared confidential documents with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein while he was an official trade envoy for the UK government.

Police confirmed in May that they were now looking into allegations of sexual assault, as well as potential charges of corruption and fraud, as part of their “widespread” investigation into Andrew.

She did not officially report this to the authorities.

A police spokesman said police were pursuing “all reasonable lines of inquiry”.

Ms Giuffre, who took her own life last year, claimed she was forced to have sex with Andrew on three occasions, including when she was 17.

It comes just days after the BBC reported that Andrew’s infamous claim of visiting Pizza Express on one of the nights he allegedly slept with her had led to an internal investigation at the popular British fast food chain.

The former prince was forced to resign following his 2019 BBC interview. News nightduring which he denied the claim that he had ever met Ms Giuffre at all, citing a visit to the Woking branch of the restaurant with his daughter as evidence to support his claims.

According to the BBC, it has now been confirmed that the pizza chain investigated his claim but found no evidence that he was or was not there that night.
