Two people, including a minor, were seriously injured on Friday morning in two consecutive collisions in Saint-Paulin, in Mauricy.
According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), a car traveling on Rang des Douze-Terres turned into the entrance to Rang Saint-Louis around 7:15 a.m. when it was hit by another car traveling in the opposite direction.
The person in the first car suffered serious injuries.
“We fear for this man’s life,” said Sûreté du Québec spokesman Louis-Philippe Ruel.
Of the three people in the second car, two were slightly injured, but the young girl was more seriously injured.
“We fear for our lives,” Mr. Ruel said.
The third vehicle was subsequently unable to avoid the accident and was also involved in an accident.
The driver, the only one on board, received minor injuries.
At the time of writing, the Rang des Douze-Terres is still closed to traffic at this location.
SQ Police officers are still on scene investigating the collision.
