“There are moments in a photography career that stay with you forever! For me, meeting and photographing Celine Dion was one of those moments,” writes the Toronto-based photographer.

“We can admire an artist’s talent from afar, but meeting him reminds us that true greatness goes far beyond mere talent,” continues the designer, whose work has appeared in publications including The Walrus, Globe and Mail, Fashion Magazine, The Star, National Post, Photo Life, Elle Canada, The Dance Current and Dance Magazine.

He says Celine Dion “brought an extraordinary warmth” to the photo shoot, the date of which remains unknown.

He praises the generosity of time, boundless creativity, grace and beauty of the singer, who “completely surrendered to the process.”

The photographer believes that each photograph was a collaboration and that Celine Dion trusted the creative process while bringing her intuition, energy and authenticity.

“It reminded me that the most iconic images come from the intersection of talent and confidence,” he notes.

“Looking back, I am grateful not only for the photographs we created, but also for the opportunity to witness the remarkable man behind the legend!” continues the creator.

“Some projects enrich your portfolio. Others are an integral part of your journey!” concludes the portrait photographer known for his artistic approach to fashion and dance.

On his professional website we learn that Alexander Antonievich comes from the world of theater and performing arts and that his understanding of form and expression is exceptional.

“Through an intimate knowledge of the body and the use of sophisticated studio lighting, Mr. Antonijevic continually seeks an authentic and powerful expression of his subjects and strives to create a look that is timeless, lasting and classic,” it says.

Despite numerous questions posed by followers and fans of the photographer – and the Quebec singer – he remained reserved and did not reveal anything about the circumstances of this photo shoot: neither the date, nor the location, nor the context in which the photographs were taken.

It is also unknown in which magazine these portraits of Celine Dion will be published.
