Ahana Krishna, actress and daughter of actor and BJP leader Krishnakumar, has given a completely opposite reaction to actor and BJP leader Krishnakumar’s stance as there is a lot of controversy and discussion on social media regarding the student protest and irregularities in NEET exams in Delhi. Ahana says our children deserve a system that is transparent, fair and worthy of their trust.
Protests are taking place across the country against the crackdown by the Delhi Police and Rapid Action Force against students who protested at Jantar Mantar in Delhi to protest irregularities in the conduct of the NEET exam. But Krishnakumar’s social media post was a kind of justification for the government’s actions and police repression. Sharing a photo of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Krishna Kumar wrote, “If you know how to stop stone pelting in Kashmir… then Delhi….”
There was harsh criticism and public anger on social media against Krishnakumar, who supported the suppression of the legitimate demands of his citizens and students. Although the criticism against Krishnakumar remains strong, Ahana Krishna came forward, sharing the pain of the students and their families, completely rejecting her father’s position.
Ahana’s note strongly criticizes the mental conflicts faced by students and the failures of government systems:
“It is very heartbreaking to see children’s hopes dashed by things beyond their control. Behind every exam there is a story that we don’t always see – years of preparation, sacrifice and a strong belief that hard work will get us somewhere. Behind every news headline are a few young people with innocent dreams and their families hoping for a better future for them.

I knew many friends who had been studying for an exam for years and were devastated when it was canceled the day before the exam. I saw how tragic this is, how it destroys not only their plans, but also their very ideas of justice.
It’s not the same for everyone. For a child from a financially secure family, failures may simply be failures. But for a child from a family living in very limited circumstances, education is the only way to change their life, in their opinion. When that trust is broken, not just the test is lost… but the family’s hopes are lost.

Whoever is responsible for such violations must be held accountable and punished without any delay. Our children deserve a system that is transparent, fair and worthy of their trust. It is my sincere wish that no child will ever have to bear such a burden again… the day will come when the hopes once given will not be so easily dashed,” said Ahana Krishna.
