30-year-old David Stevenin disappeared on the night of September 25-26, 2018 in the city of Ourthe in the Pyrenees-Atlantiques. The young man, originally from Normandy, arrived in the Basque Country in August of the same year. After a quarrel with the acquaintances he met there, the thirty-year-old guy disappears. Despite extensive searches, searches by the gendarmerie, and calling witnesses, he was not found. David was accompanied by his dog and traveled in a black Renault Mégane.

David Stevenin’s sister reports that she was contacted by an “Adventure with Determination” member a few weeks ago. The man introduced himself as the leader of an association searching for missing people, in particular in courtyards and water points. He explains to them that he is doing several searches in Europe over the summer and wants to try to find David in the Basque Country. “My mother and I were very suspicious, we were afraid that this was a scam. And because of the language barrier, we left all this unresolved and did not take any action.“, continues Laura.
This Tuesday, July 21, she lives in the Loire-Atlantique and talks with one of her friends who is in Ourthe. “He told me that he saw a car come out of the water and the police were on the scene.”. Laura then receives confirmation from the gendarmerie that the car found is indeed her brother’s and that a body has been found inside.
