2027 Presidential Election: Turn Left: Francois Hollande Overtakes Jean-Luc Mélenchon in This New Poll

Nine months before the presidential election, the balance of power is changing. According to the Elabe poll published this Friday July 3 by the newspaper Les Échos, François Hollande becomes the politician most valued by left-wing voters. On the right, Edouard Philippe maintains a large lead among Macron supporters.

What if Francois Hollande springs a surprise in 2027? Former President of the Republic notes impressive growth Elabe’s newest barometer for Les Échos. With a 46% good image among left-wing supporters, he rose eight points in a month to take first place in the ranking.
He is now ahead of Francois Ruffin, whose rating has plummeted to 45% (-8 points), and Raphael Glucksmann completes the podium with 42% (+1 point).

Jean-Luc Mélenchon in decline

Another lesson from this poll: Jean-Luc Mélenchon is losing ground. After strong progress in June, the La France insoumise leader’s rating fell eight points and returned to a 41% good image, level with Fabien Roussel. Next, Marine Tondelier scored 36%, and Clementine Autin received 33%.
These results do not predict voting intentions, but measure the popularity of major political figures among their own supporters.

Edward Philippe is still ahead

In the Macronist camp, Eduard Philip confirms his status as a favorite. The former prime minister has a 74% good image among Emmanuel Macron voters, well ahead of Gabriel Attal (67%) and Gérald Darmanin (55%).
This dynamic comes as the mayor of Le Havre accelerates his campaign. After exchanging views with almost 10,000 French people during a video conference aperitif at the end of June, he will hold his first major meeting in Paris this Sunday, July 5, with the support of several representatives of the majority.

Bardella and Le Pen still dominate the PH.

There is still no duel on the National Rally side. Jordan Bardella and Marine Le Pen have a good image among RN and Eric Zemmour supporters at 91%. However, the party president receives two points in one month, and the deputy from Pas-de-Calais loses one.
