SYDNEY hosts Adelaide on Friday night in what looks like a tour match.
Sydney were unable to withstand Fremantle’s second-half onslaught and the defeat is worrying when combined with previous defeats to Hawthorn, Geelong and Brisbane.
SWANS vs CROWS Follow it live
The Swans still have the advantage of the top two fixtures and a pair of home finals, but they need to make a mark with a win over fellow premiership contenders the Crows before heading home.
Adelaide created breathing space between itself and the other teams hoping to finish in the top six by edging out Gold Coast to win by a percentage point.
The Crows have already started to claim big scalps with wins over the Cats, Demons and Bulldogs in recent weeks, although they will make an even stronger statement with a win over a Swans side that is currently seeing clouds forming above them.
Adelaide are keeping Taylor Walker at home for the match, opting to rest the veteran forward after he scored five goals last week, with Rory Laird out through injury and Hugo Hall-Cahan recalled along with Isaac Cumming.
The Swans made four changes to the side that lost to table-toppers Fremantle, naming Brayden Campbell for his first senior game in 2026 and recalling Logan McDonald, Riley Buys and Malcolm Rosas, with Harry Kyle, Joel Hamling, Tom Haneely and Kayden Cleary dropped.
